Big Bear Take Two

This is the Big Bear trip that was comped due to the mistake the lodge made in our original reservations.  Let me tell you. . .it was NOTHING like our first trip.  Imagine if you will, the John Candy movie "The Great Outdoor."  There was a sign that said office in the front of our cabin, but we had no access to it.  It was locked and bolted.  People even came up to us asking for assistance because of the sign. . .yet we were vacationing, just like them.

The floors were uneven.  The couch was a lumpy mess, and the bedding looked ancient.  The best part of our trip was our friends who drove up to hang out with us.  However, when they loaded up to go home. . .I was like, "I'm outta here, too.  Who's coming with?"  Both girls were not about roughing it or climbing into the ancient, gross beds so we drove down the mountain and came home.  I loved that the boys stayed the course and committed to the camp experience, but this is a cabin we will not be coming back to any time in the near future.
