Here are the questions asked of me:
1. If you could help run one charity which would you choose and why?
I have a heart for children. Sick. Poor. Hurting. It doesn't matter. I want to help.
2. What is the one thing that gives you most comfort?
My mom's pink fleece tied breast cancer blanket. Lene took it over for awhile, but now, that makes me feel warm and reminds me of the preciousness of life and that no matter what occurred in the past--the present is now. And what a gift it is.
3. What is your go-to cosmetic/beauty product?
Kiehl's tinted moisturizer. I love it!
4. You have the power to change one specific thing about our country’s history, what would you choose to change?
I hate the whole slavery period. It seems to me, stereotypes, bigotry, and hatred stem from these times. I hate knowing really that anyone was judged because of the color of their skin or their belief system.
5. What is your best gift/talent?
I would have to say my gift is my words. I think I am best able to bless people sometimes through my written word. My hope is that my own kids will get an even better look at my heart through my writing and learn about my past and all the precious memories that live there through my writing as well.
6. Describe your perfect date night.
Plenty of time to get ready with no kid interruptions, dinner, a movie and some browsing at Target or Barnes and Nobles. Being together and looking at things, talking, dreaming. Those are our perfect date nights: )
7. What is one of your favorite family traditions?
I love Christmas mornings. I make cinnamon rolls and we open presents together. We also wait around for Santa to drive around the neighborhood in the firetruck. The firemen pass out bags of apples and nuts. I love seeing my neighbors Christmas morning, watching our kids play and race up and down the streets as they hear the sirens getting closer.
8. Your favorite scripture, poem, or quote and why?
1 Corinthians 13. We read it at our wedding and our family has adopted it as part of our mission statement.
9. What is the nicest thing someone has ever done for you?
One of the nicest was just this weekend. Because E has worked such long hours, our yard hadn't been mowed in almost three weeks! E enjoys doing our yard and takes his time, effort, and energy to keep it looking nice. I got the bright idea that I would do the lawn today--having NEVER maneuvered a lawnmower before in my life. Two neighborhood husbands helped me immensely: one taught me how to start it, put gas in it, and empty the bag. . .while the other stopped, having just done a few yards--and edged for me!! Seriously, I was touched by both mens thoughtfulness--one said my husband would do the same--he is right. he would.
My 9 questions
1. What is your quickest, go to meal you share on a busy night with the family?
2. Are you a dreamer? If so, big dreams or play it safe type of dreams?
3. What are you currently reading? Do you recommend it? Why or why not?
4. Have you ever tried your hand at gardening? If so, a tip you can share.
5. Are you where you thought you would be at this point in your life? Share.
6. If you had to leave your house immediately--what three items would you take. Why?
7. How many states have you visited in your lifetime? Which ones?
8. What does your dream vacation look like?
9. Do you fit daily exercise into your day? If so, how?

Yea you did it! :) The lawn mower story is awesome... I used to try and get the yard mowed for Daniel but now that we have teen sons I never have to worry about it :) And like your mother's fleece blanket, an afghan my Grandmother made is one of my comfort items. I didn't have a blankie as a kid but I do now! ;)
