Yesterday was another great day on break. We celebrated our biggest's accomplishment of earning 50 points in Accelerated Reader by taking her off campus for a sushi lunch, per her request. She has expensive taste...maybe it will keep the boys away for a looooong time! A mom can hope and dream, right?
Then, both kids had a friend come over for an afternoon of fun and some planting in my garden.
The kids then headed to their first cartooning class.
This is Jonathan's version of a pirate frog. Not bad for my little man.
We were also able to deliver flat Stanley to Bianca. She will be traveling back to New York for a couple weeks of work and then will head to Paris. Flat Stanley is pretty lucky--can't wait to see the places she visits while she is away! Her estimated arrival back in California is right before Open House on May 19th. I wonder how much slower international mail is. Any ideas or suggestions on when she should put it in the mail by?
I also got to see the sweetest little newborn today. It was a quick visit, but she is so precious and I'm so happy for my friends!!
We are surprising the kids with a trip to Legoland today. Bubba's birthday is Monday and he has been wanting to go for so long now. With E unexpectedly off work for a couple days we decided, why not? I can't wait to see their faces tomorrow when we tell them.
Note to self: Have the camera nearby.
did flat stanley get to go to legoland w/ the family too?
