We started this week's color lesson with some sorting. She sorted. I hot glued.
We moved to the bathroom for a little blow dryer melting action.
Her finished project is now a permanent fixture on her wall. She's very proud of this piece. She wants all who visit our house to come upstairs to her room to check it out.
I'd love to say this was a success at teaching her colors. For the longest I thought she was color blind--but it's amazing the way she knows her colors ONLY when M&M's are involved. Amazing!
We moved on to some baking--because with big brother and sister at school she got to lick the beaters herself, so why not?
She chose the colors we would use for our cake. She might have eaten a little of this color or that along the way. . .And if I prided myself on perfection, I would in no way post our finished project. But I don't. So here it is. Loaf pans were all we had so we improvised. And it tasted just the same. Awesome!
I think we might have overdone it on the fun. The next day she wanted me to keep up the constant activity level and I found that a little hard to do. . .but this one's for the memory book. Nessa and mom creating colorful chaos in the kitchen!
